The effects of Augmented Reality applications on the academic achievement and motivation of secondary school students

This research aims to reveal the effects of using augmented reality applications on seventh-grade secondary school students' academic achievement and motivation identify students’ views applications. For this purpose, application called “CellAR” has been developed for “Cell Cell Division” unit. The study used pre-test - post-test control group quasi-experimental design method general survey model. During research, experimental students CellAR learning by researcher in addition regular course materials (textbooks, e-books, printed materials, videos, visuals, etc.). In contrast, only materials. An test, scale, opinion questionnaire were collect data. T-test independent samples, single-factor analysis covariance (ANCOVA), descriptive statistics used. According results, significantly higher than group. thought that helped them learn subjects, facilitated concretization abstract concepts, provided active experiences. Similarly, found interesting stated it increased their creativity motivation.
